கைலாயம் விட்டு காஞ்சி வந்தாரடி தோழி சேதி இங்கு அறிந்தேனடி

அனுபல்லவி

வைகாசி அனுஷத்தில் விழுப்புரத்தில் ரகசியமாய் மீண்டும்

 

Kailayam vittu  Kanchi vantharadi thozhi, chethi  ingu arinthenadi

 

Leaving Kailasa he  came  to Kanchi oh friend

புலித்தோல் சூலம் கொண்டார் அங்கே தோழி காஷாய தண்டம் தரித்தார் இங்கே

உமையுடன் நடனம் களிப்பார் அங்கே தோழி சுமையுடன் வருவோர்க்கு சுகம் அளிப்பார் இங்கே

வேதப் பொருளே இறங்கி வந்து தோழி வேத ரக்ஷணம் செய்ததம்மா

விடமுண்டான் தேவரைக் காக்க தோழி நடமாடும் தெய்வமானார் பக்தரைக் காக்க

 

Pulithol soolam kondaar , ange  thozhi

Kashaya  dandam  darithar  inge

Umayudan nadanam kalippar  ange  thozhi

Sumayudan varuvorku  sukham alippar  inge

Veda porule  irangi vanthu   veda rakshanam  cheithahu Amma

Vidamundaan  devarai  kaakka thozhi

Nadamaadu,  deivamaanaar  Bakthhrai kaakka

 

He took tiger’s skin   and trident  there , oh friend

He wore ochre robes  and staff here

He would dance  with Parvathy  there , Oh friend

He gave  pleasure  for those coming with burden here

Oh friend , the thing of veda  came down and protected vedas here

Oh friend , for protecting  Devas  he swallowed poison

Here  he became god who dances(walks)  to protect  the devotees
