Oh  man  always   sing   about  Lord Ganesa

Sing about Ganesa who has  home  in the east(kizhakke  Angadi)

 

Anupallavi

Gaja vadanam duritaugha vināsham
Gada shāmanam shata sūrya nikāsham [1]

 

Elephant faced one  who completely destroys  suffering

Pacifies  what  is past and shines like  100  suns

Varadam jana sharaNam bhayaharaNam
Vara muni mānasa bhāva viharaNam
Vara phala rasanaratam bhava taraNam
Vana tulasīdala pūjita charaNam

 

Blesses  those  who surrender , destroys  fear

Travels  in the  thought  of great sages

He who enjoys  taste  of blessed  fruits , helps  us to cross samsaa

Whose  feet is  worshipped  by  Thulasi  leaves

Paraman mudhalaana perukku aadhiye  param jothiye

Pangaya  kanniye yethamma , paaramukham seyya  koodathammaa

Oh primeval  power  , can we  pray  your greatness

She  who is  the first to Lord  Vishnu and others, Oh divine  light

அல்லாதொன்றும் நான் அறியேனென சொன்னேன்   தாயே      (என்னேரமும்)

Shivakamiye, Abhiramiye, anu dhinamum un naamame japam

On  lotus  , you  are  hesitating  as if it is water,

This is proper time  to show  mercy  on me

Oh Shivakami, Oh  Abhirami, daily  I chant  only  your names

I told you  , except  that  I do not  know  any thing(At all times)

நிலவின் வரவால் அல்லி மலர் நிமிர்ந்து மலரவில்லையோ

என்னை   நிலத்தில் வாழவைத்த அன்னையே

சனாதனியே புகழ்கனியே மானியே   தமியேன் எனக்கடைக்கலம்

நேயமோடு தருவதுன் கடமையல்லவோ தாயே  (என்னேரமும்)

 

Does  not the  lily  flower  stand erect and open , due  to coming of moon

Oh mother  who made  me  live  on the land

Oh  SAnathi , oh very famous fruit, Oh  respectable one, I am poor one , Is it not

Your duty  to give refuge  in a friendly fashion, oh  mother

Those  who have  attained salvation , Those who have occult powers, those  who are sages

The  silent  Vishnu  , the great  trinity

Leaving  their sleep, loosing thinking and forgetfulness

Greatly forgot without  any distinction and  stood alone (sadanandam)
