English Translation
Pallavi
Did my word look funny,
Did the words that I told before many , look funny,
Anupallavi
When I told , please provide me protection,
With fear , assumption and great sorrow,
To you who is the provider of protection to all,
Did my words look funny?
Charanam
When Draupadi due to a sage,
Told protect me Oh God who is in Dwaraka,
When Vibheeshana could not tolerate one word,
And crossed the sea and told, please protect me,
When Prahalda with sorrow told, please protect me.
Did it appear as words of fun to you?
And did you not protect all of them?
And then why , the words of Thyagaraja appears funny to you?
