What do these sentences mean?

How is Parvathi to be in the hair of Vishnu?...and why had the poet to use these prayogams and what did he actually mean?

DeleteLalita devi is embodiment of all three Goddesses, Rajarajeswari( Parvati daughter of Himavant, mountain king( Saraswati, and Lakshmi. Parvati does penance worshiping Vishnu and offers her legs ( which are considered as Lotus),as a token of her devotion. Vishnu consider as her as his sister and keep her on is head as a token of respect and affection too.in Ashambari asha means respect or not desire and Ambari means Not Saree but Heavely heights, Ambar means AAkash or Sky too, not only Cloth.( as in Peetambar ambarmeans cloth)-One who creates for desire for Heaven or Vishnudham.

Thanks for the pointing out the mistake.Hari Kesa is the Mudhra of the composer. I have made modifications in the translation. Clothed in desire means she is attached to devotees/husband/children.

ReplyDeleteIn mythology names of various incarnations are interchanged. Here Rama represents Vishnu. Once Parvati did penance for Vishnu and her feet as a token of devotion(feet Parvtai are considered to be like Lotus and lotus is one of the most liked items of Vishnu) . Then Vishnu took Parvati as his sister. As Vishnu and Rama are interchangeable Rama Sahodari is used Certain things can't be questioned. In one anecdote where Vishnu Maya foces Ravana to ask for Shiv's AAtma lina he aks for Parvati and Shiva gives Parvati. Then Parvati curses Vishnu to face simila speration fom his souse and hence Rama got separated from Sita.

It is not pasankusheshu. It is Paasankusekshu.

Ankusam = Sharp-tip arrow like thing used to control an elephant.
Ikshu dandam = sugarcane plant.
Rajarajeswari devi is identified with Sugarcane plant. Therefore 'ikshudandam'
So it is, paasankusekshu danda kare.
It is a common mistake to write paasankuseshu, instead of Paasankusekshu
it is not raama but rama which is another name for lakshmi.
