Ekadantha vinayagam , bhajami manasa,
Isha priyakara thanujam guru guha vinutham anisham

Anupallavi
Nagarathna mani kudalala alankrutham , nava vyakarana padithadhi poojitham,
Yaga, yoga japa thapa dhyanadhi karya vara prasidham , sakala loka,
Palakam , Sangeetha sahasra raga thala bhava pradham , sadananda sahitham

Charanam
Matanga mukha chandra bimba vadanam , maha Tripura Sundari nandanam,
Athanga mukha Bhaktha manoratha abheeshta vara pradayakam, sundaram,
Nada lolam , nirmaya kosham , Nalina vilochana ravi koti prakasam,
Veda nigama sakalagama sannutha vitharana gunasheelam , baalam,
Veda vedantha bodhaka chathuram , Vyasa vinutha mahaneeyam , Varam , vaaram, vaaram.

English translation

Pallavi
I sing about the Lord of obstacles with one tusk,
Who is the darling son of Lord Shiva,
Who is saluted by Lord Subrahmanya always.

Anupallavi
He who is decorated by the ear globe made of serpent gem,
Who is worshipped by experts on the new grammar,
Who is famous for blessing people engaged in,
Fire sacrifice , Yoga , Chanting, penance and meditation,
Who takes care of the entire world, Who with the ever present joy,
Graces us with thousands of Ragas of songs, with their thalam and import.

Charanam
He who has a pretty moon like elephant face ,
Who is the son of the great goddess Tripurasundari,
Who fulfills the desires of the mind of devotees with worried face,
He who is pretty and fully enjoys music, who has spotless body,
He who has a pretty eyes and shines like billions of suns,
He who has the good character of distributing Vedas and all religious book and is a child,
He who is an expert in teaching Vedas and Vedanthas,
He who is saluted by Vyasa and other great sages, again and again.
