Ananda Natamidum   Padan, Ponnambala Vanan  , Chidambara nathan

Pallavi

Danced  that Lord with joy   using  his feet ,

That  Lord who lives   in the golden temple and who is the lord of Chidambaram

Anupallavi

Ganam thanai   todarnthu ,jnanam tharum   perinba  ,

Monam   thazhaikkum   yoga vanam thanil magihndhu

Anupallavi

With  songs  continuing with nurturing   of silence  of great pleasure,

Which gives wisdom   and  great joy  in the sky of yoga  , (danced..)

Charanam

1.Manum mazhuvum   Damarugamum   aravum   thiru varadabhaya  karamum,

Charanambujamum, Puli thanum Patanjaliyum paniya , Ayanum malum Talam,

Maddalam  kotta , Shilambum kulunga inba thattahi mozhi SShivakami  manalan,

SAthwa gunan padinaan  angulla kalan.

1.With lotus like hands holding deer  , axe  , hand drum   and snake ,  with   two hands  showing,

Signs of blessing , With   being  saluted    by the tiger  as well as sage  Patanjali ,

With Lord Brahma   and Vishnu playing the drum  and  with shaking of  the anklet bells,

The consort  of,  Shivakami   who   lisps  like a  parrot, 

When the   lord of death with sathva  traits    singing  (danced  the lord with joy..)

2.THathuvamasai porulaya  dayalan   sadhaa   nija anbar  vanangu   talan,

tattari kiTa dhimi jhaNuta jhaNuta dhIm taka tadhingiNa tOm jhaNa jhaNa jhaNavena,

BHakthargal, munivargal   imayorgaum   pugazha ,

Padvum  punal sher   sadai mathi   aadavum.

2.That merciful one   who is the  dealing the subject of philosophy  ,

Whose feet is always   worshipped by    his true devotees   danced

tattari kiTa dhimi jhaNuta jhaNuta dhIm taka tadhingiNa tOm jhaNa jhaNa jhaNavena,

With devotees  , sages    as well as devas   singing  praises  of   him,

And with his matted hair along with the river and moon   shaking  (danced  that Lord with joy..)
