Palukubodi (not podi) means Godess Saraswati in Telugu. In this charanam Thyagaraja is condemning those who sell Saraswati (their compositions) to sinners in the 'Sabha'(he probably means royal court).
ReplyDeletePalukubodi (not'podi') means Godess Saraswati in Telugu. In this line Thyagaraja is condemning as ignoble those who giveaway (dedicate) their Saraswati (their compositions) to sinners in the Sabha (he means probably the Royal Court).
