English translation

Pallavi
If  I call you  loudly “Muruga, Muruga”,
Will you not be merciful  and shower  your grace.

Anupallavi
We can drink your sweet  merciful name ,
So that the disease of birth and death does not come near me

Charanam
Oh Lord Muruga   who lives  on the mountain,
Oh Lord who rides  on a peacock  and is the consort of Valli,
Oh merciful one who does not have  a stone like heart,
Oh God of Bharai who ruled holding a Vel.
