OM NAMONARAYANAYA-Annamayya


ANNAMAYYA KIRTHANA – అన్నమయ్య కీర్తన

OM NAMONARAYANAYA ఓం నమో నారాయణాయ
పల్లవి
నమో నారాయణాయ నమః
సమధికానందాయ సర్వేశ్వరాయ
namO nArAyaNAya namaH
samadhikAnaMdAya sarvESvarAya
नमो नारायणाय नमः
समधिकानन्द सर्वेश्वराय

Salutation! Hail! To Narayana!
To the Superabudantly Blissful! To the Lord of All!
[Nara=Water; Ayana=Resting place. Narayana = Resting on the water]
[Nara means water. Alternately, narah means living entities. So resting in water as well as in all living entities]

చరణం 1
ధరణీసతీఘన స్తనశైలపరిరంభ-
పరిమళ శ్రమజల ప్రమదాయ
సరసిజ నివాసినీ సరసప్రణామయుత-
చరణాయతే నమో సకలాత్మకాయ
dharaNIsatIGana stanaSailapariraMBha-
parimaLa shramajala pramadAya
sarasija nivAsinI sarasapraNAmayutha-
charaNAyathE namO sakalAthmakAya
धरणी सती घन स्तन शैल परिरम्भ​
परिमळ श्रमजल प्रमदाय​
सरसिज निवासिनी सरसप्रणामयुत​-
चरणायते नमो सकलात्मकाय​  

In embracing the mountain-like heavy breasts of Thy Ladyship the Earth,
To the Delighted from (that) fragrant perspiration!
[To the Delighted One from fragrant perspiration by embracing the mountain-like breasts of Thy Ladyship the Earth]
[dharani=earth; sati= virtuous woman; Ghana=heavy; shtana=breasts; shaila=mountain; parirambha=embracing; parimala=fragrant; shramajala=sweat; pramadaya=delighted.]

To Thy feet, passionately prostrated by the Dweller of Lotus-Born (Goddess Lakshmi)
Salutation To the Omni-Spirit!!
[sarasija= born in lotus; nivaasini=dweller; sarasa=passionate; pramaaNayuta=prostrated; charanaayite=the feet of; sakalaathmakaaya=The Spirit in all.]

చరణం 2
సత్యభామాముఖాంచన పత్రవల్లికా-
నిత్య రచనక్రియా నిపుణాయ
కాత్యాయనీ స్తోత్రకామాయ తే నమో
ప్రత్యక్ష నిజపరబ్రహ్మ రూపాయ
satyaBAmAmuKAMcana patravallikA-
nitya racanakriyA nipuNAya
kAtyAyanI stOtrakAmAya tE namO
pratyakSha nijaparabrahma rUpAya
सत्यभामा मुखाञ्चन पत्रवल्लिका-
नित्य रचनक्रिया निपुणाय​
कात्यायनी स्तोत्र कामायते नमो
प्रत्यक्ष निज परब्रह्म रूपाय​

To the Skilled, in the art of drawing leafy creepers
In the curves of Satyabhama’s face, everyday!
[satyabhama=Lord Krishna’s consort; mukhaanchana= face curves; patra=leaves; vallikaa=creeper; nitya=daily; rachanakriya=act of drawing; nipuna=skilled.]

To Thee, Who long for the praises of Katyaayani!
To the Manifest form of Supreme Truth of Brahman!
[Katyaayani = Goddess Parvathi (Lord Shiva’s consort); stotra=praises; kaamaaya=longer; te=you; pratyaksha=manifest; nija=True; parabrahma=Supreme Spirit; roopa=form.]

చరణం 3
దేవతాధిప మకుటదివ్య రత్నాంశుసం-
భావితామల పాదపంకజాయ
కైవల్య కామినీకాంతాయ తే నమో
శ్రీవేంకటాచల శ్రీనివాసాయ
dEvatAdhipa makuTadivya ratnAMSusaM-
BAvitAmala pAdapaMkajAya
kaivalya kAminIkAMtAya tE namO
SrIvEMkaTAcala SrInivAsAya
देवताधिप मकुटदिव्य रत्नांशुसं-
भावितामल पादपङ्कजाय​
कैवल्य कामिनी कान्ताय ते नमो
श्री वेङ्कटाचल श्रीनिवासाय​

To the Lotus-Feet, brilliantly reflecting from the divine gems
In the crown of the Lord of demi gods (Indra)!
[devadhipa=Lord of demigods, Indra; makuta= crown; divya=divine; ratnaaM=gems; susambhaavita=brilliantly glowing; amala= stainless, reflecting; paada= feet; pankaja=born in mud, lotus.]

To Thee, the Lord of the Eternal happiness-Wisher Thy I salute  
To the Sri Venkatachala Srinivasa!!
[kaivalya=eternal bliss; kaamini= wisher; kaanthaa=lord; te=you; namo=salute.]
