Alai paayum kadaloram, arut thogai mayil aada
Silayaana shiva shanmukha chenthil
With peacock with divine wings dance near sea with blowing waves
Oh Chenthil Shiva Shanmuka who became a statue

Kalayaatha arulodu, kavi paadi yenai aanda
Malayaandi guha Shanmuka, priya Shanmuka
He who sang poems and ruled over with non diminishing blessing
The Guru the saint on the mountain, Who is Shanmuka , the dear Shanmuka

1.Marai paadum deviyum, malayaalum chelviyum
Iraiva un Sukhamalavaa
Are not the goddess who sings Vedas, And the young girl who rules your home,
Oh God, your joys
2.Niraivana chelvamum, nilai aayul sidhiyum
Viraivaaka yenakku eendhavaa
Oh God who gave me speedily
Sufficient wealth, and the boon of a full life
3.Aru veettil amrnthaalum, oru veedu manam yendru
Iraivaa yen manam yerinaai
Though you sit in six houses, thinking that one of your homes is the mind
Oh God , you climbed on to my mind
4.THiruvaana azhakaa, thiru maalin Marukaa
Kuruvana chiruvaa- udane nee varuvai
Of God with divine beauty who is nephew of lord Vishnu
Oh very short boy, you come immediately
