Pallavi

Thandhanana* ahi Thandhanana,
Thandhanana bhata Thandhanana,
Brahmam is one, Para Brahmam is one,
Para Brahmam is one, Para Brahmam is one,
*This is a sound keeping beat in a folk dance.
Charanam

1. There are no differences between the high and low people,
For the soul within them is nothing but Hari,
And in this all animals are same like us,
For the soul within them is nothing but Hari.

2. There are no differences in sleep between the king and his servant,
The sleep that comes to all of them is the same,
The earth that a Brahmin or Chandala stands is the same,
For in every one their soul is nothing but Hari.

3. The pleasure from making love is same for Gods and us,
Similarly for the insects and animals the pleasure of love making is same,
The day and the night is the same for the rich and the poor,
And for all beings these are always same.

4. For the one who eats superior food the toungue is one,
And For the one who eats condemned inferior food also it is same,
The air that carries the scent from place to place is same,
And so is the air which carries foul smell is the same.

5. The sun that shines over elephant in the forest is same,
And the Sun that shines over a street dog also is the same,
And very good blessed deeds and very sinful acts,
Are made same only by the name of Lord Venkateswara.
