Pallavi
Who is he , what is his name, I do not know.
Anupallavi
All the people in the earth and heaven,
Stood before the maid’s quarters in Mithila.

3.He is glancing at me with his,
Moon like flower of a face,

Who is it about?
ReplyDeleteI think it is Rama who is asking this question on seeing Sita in the balcony (remember he is the one visiting Mithila, hence walking down the street looking up at the balcony)
ReplyDeleteThe meaning is completely wrong, the song is like sung by Lord Rama after seeing Seetha.
ReplyDeleteThe meaning is wrong as it is sung by Lord Rama when he sees Seetha.

ReplyDeleteI have read that this song is meant to describe Sita, and not Rama.
ReplyDeleteWhile Rama is walking, he sees Sita in the balcony, and immediately this description starts in his mind. It is indeed a beautiful song, describing the beauty of Sita, and the possible connection Rama felt towards her.
Thank you for the lyrics.
