Isai padi unnai  vazhipada  vendum –yellaa,

Thisayilum  nindru arul  thanthidum deviye

I have   to worship  you by singing, Oh Goddess ,

Who blesses  me standing in all directions

Charanam

Sakthiyai, shivamai , sankadam theerkkum-nalla,

Samayathil unathu  udan sathiyam   cherkkum,

Muthenum punnagai mugizhnthida choodum –Durgai,

Chitharin   chinthayile            chiranthe   aadum.

As SAkthi and as  Shiva  you remove my sorrows, will come,

In proper time   and add  truth   to you,

Would wear pearl   like smile that arises and,

Would dance  in the thought  of Durgai  chithar
