English translation
Pallavi
Oh God of Gods, I wish to do,
Service to your lotus like feet.
Anupallavi
Oh Lord of the three worlds,
Show all your mercy on me,
Oh consort of Lakshmi, remove,
All problems of this life.
Charanam
1. You are worshipped by very many great sages,
Destroy great sufferings and hear to their complaints,
Of those who hear your stories always,
You fulfill all the desires of your devotees.
2. You who exhibited great expertise in removing the great Misery of the elephant,
Your feet which removed their sufferings were worshipped by Indra and other Devas,
You became pleased by the prayer of Brahma, who was born in your navel,
Be pleased by my prayers and bless me with well being.
3. Oh God be pleased and obliterate all my accumulated sins,
With blessings and mercy and protect me,
As you vanquished the asuras and their clan,
In support of the greatly oppressed devas,
Who took refuge in you?
I don't know if this blog is still active, but I will venture an inquiry anyway. What is the language of the above song? And more importantly to me, what is the meaning of 'soure' ('saure') as in the expression "Sri Padmanabha soure"?
