கண்டநாள் முதலாய் காதல்  பெருகுதடி 

கையினில் வேல் பிடித்த கருணை சிவா பாலனை ||

 

Kanda  naal  mudhalai kadhal  Peruguthadi,

Kayyinil vel pidhitha karunai  Shivaa balanai

 

From the day  I saw my love is increasing

The son of Shiva who holds Vel(spear) in his hand

வண்டிசை பாடும் எழில் வசந்த பூங்காவில் 

வந்து சுகம் தந்த கந்தனை என் காந்தனை ||

 

Vandisai  paadum yezhil  vasantha poongaavil

Vanthu  sukham thantha  kandhanai yen kaanthanai

 

The  pretty  spring garden where  the  bee sings

The skanda who is my lord and came  and gave pleasure

நீலமயில்தனை  நெஞ்சமும் மறக்கவில்லை 

நேசமுடன் கலந்த பாசமும் மறையவில்லை 

கொலகுமரன் மனகோயிலில் நிறைந்துவிட்டன 

குறுநகை தனை காட்டி நறுமலர் சூட்டி விட்டான் ||

 

Neela mayil  thanai nenjam marakkavillai

Nesamudan kalantha paasamum marayavillai

Kola  kumaran mana  koilil nirainthu vittana

Kuru nagai  thanai kaatti narumalar  chootti vittan

 

My mind  has not forgotten  the peacock

The affection mixed  with love has not set

The temple  of Kumara is full
