Padinaar Naradar , Veenai vilasar

Charanam

1.Kodi bhaskara prakasar,
Kondaduvar ulle nindru aadum eesar,

2. Dasargal klesa vinasar ,
Thadathagai thannai thazhuva ullasar

3. Poorvathil Kanchana malai ,
Poorna thapsugal cheyathathinale

4. Raja kumarani ppole
Rathinam izhaitha por peedathin mele

5. Kalyana kolangal kondu ,
Kadai kannal adikkadi deviyai kkandu

6. Arpudha aabharanangal poondu ,
Aalasya puri rajan vasalil nindru,

7. Peethambarangal tharithu ,
Pinne veniyil sugantham mudinthu

8.Manda hasamay chirithu ,
Madurai Meenakshi priyalai ninaithu.

English translation

Please swing in the swing,
God of all , sang Narada,
Who is an expert in playing Veena.

1. He who shines like billions of Suns,
He who dances in the mind of his devotees

2.He who destroys troubles of his devotees,
The joys one who embraced Thadathagai

3.Because Kanchana Mala did,
Great penance in early days

4.Like a princes,
Sitting on a gem studded plank

5 . Having dressed up for marriage ,
He sees again and again the Goddess

6.He is wearing wonderful ornaments,
And stood in front of the king of Madurai

7.He was wearing yellow silk,
And had decorated his tuft with scented flowers

8.He was smiling very softly ,
Thinking about his darling Madurai Meenakshi.
