மாமாயக் கண்ணனிடம் ஏமாந்தேன் (ஏமாந்தேன் )

 

Yemaanthen, yevaridamo yemanthen

Maamaya  kannanidam Yemanthen (yemanthen)

 

I got deceived, I got  decievedby some one

I got deceived by Krishna ,who is the  great illusion  (I got deceived)

தயிரைக் கடைந்து வெண்ணை எடுத்தேன்

உயிர் நண்பருடன் கண்ணன் கவர்ந்தானே  (ஏமாந்தேன்)

 

Thayirai  kadainthu  vennai  yeduthen

Uyir  nanbarudam kannan  kavarnthane (yemanthene)

 

I churned the curd  and took out the butter

Along with life  like friends , Krishna   stole it( I got deceived)

மயிலிறகு சிலவும் தரையில் கண்டேன்

ஒயிலாய் கண்ணன் சிரிக்கக் கண்டேன்

சிறிதே வெண்ணை உறியில் கண்டேன்

சிறிதே போதும் போதுமெனக் கண்டேன்  (ஏமாந்தேன்)

 

Mayiliraku  chilavum  tharyil  janden

Oyilai  Kannan chirikka  kanden

Chirithe vennayai uriyil  kanden

Chirithe  pothum , pothumena  kanden (yemathen)

 

I saw some  peacock feathers on the  floor

I saw Krishna  smiling  stylishly

I saw some little  butter  on the rope storage

Very little  is sufficient, Suffecient , he said, I saw( I got deceived)

குழலிசை கேட்கையில் எனை மறந்தேன்

அழகான நடனம் கண்டு எனை மறந்தேன்

குழந்தையின் சிரிப்பில் மயங்கி நின்றேன்

மழலை மொழி அழகில் மயங்கி நின்றேன் (ஏமாந்தேன்)

 

Kuzal isai  ketkayil  yenai  maranthen

Azhakaana nadanam  kandu Yenai maranthen

Kuzanthayin  churippil mayangi  nindren

Mazhalai mozhi azhakil mayangi  nindren (yemanthem)

 

When hearing the song of flute , I forgot myself

Seeing   the pretty   dance  , I forgot myself

I stood benumbed seeing the smile of  a baby

I stood benumbed in beauty of baby’s  lisping toungue (I got deceived)
