Saranam prapadhyeham, durgaam devim anisam
I always surrender to Goddess Durga

Karunamrutha kadakshineem tharunambudha sama venim
Aruna bimba phaladharim, Aasritha jana shubhakarim
She who looks with nectar like mercy, who has black braids similar to young black cloud
She who has forehead like red crescent, She who does good to those who depend on her
Charanam
SAranagatha sarvalayaaya vipadh unmoolana karanaam
Harina anga madhapaha nirupama sundara vadhanaam
Vara Naradha, kalsodhbhava, sura nayaka nutha charanaam
Dharani sutha, parilalitha, noothana pura nija sadhanaam.
She who removes dangers in all places to those who surrender to her
She who has matchable pretty face which is similar to limbs of deer
Whose feet is prayed to by blessed Narada, Agasthya and Indra
Who lives in a pretty dwelling in a city blessed by Lakshmi
