During the worship of Navarathri there is incarnation of nine durgas

நலங்கள் யாவும் தந்திடுவாள் – ஞானசக்தி வடிவானாள் [1]

Navarathri poojayile-nava durgai avatharam

Nalangal yaavum thanthiduvaal-jnana Sakthi vadivaanaal

 

During the worship of Navarathri there is incarnation of nine durgas

She who has the form of power of wisdom will give all that  is good-

 

சரணம் 1 (துர்க்கை) Charana 1 (durga)

 

முதல் மூன்று நாளினிலே துர்க்கையவள் வந்திடுவாள்
மூவுலகும் காப்பவளாய் சிம்ம வாகனமேறிடுவாள்
வீரமும் தீரமும் நம் நெஞ்சினில் நிறைத்திடுவாள்
வினை யாவும் தீர்த்திடவே வேல் கொண்டு வந்திடுவாள்

 

 

Mudhal moondru naalinile, durgayaval vanthiduvaal

Moovulakum kaappavalai, Simma vahanam yeriduvaal

Veeramum Dheeramum nam nenjil niraithiduvaal

Vinai yaavum theernthidave vel kondu vanthiduvaal

 

On the first   three days, she will come as Durga

She would come riding on a lion  as one who protects the three worlds

She would fill our mind with valour and courage

For putting an end  to our bad fate she will come with Vel(spear)

 

சரணம் 2 (லட்சுமி)

Charanam -2 (Lakshmi)

அடுத்த மூன்று நாளினிலே அலர் மேல் மங்கை வந்திடுவாள்
அலைமகளாய் லட்சுமியாய் அமுத கலசம் ஏந்திடுவாள்
செல்வமும் சிறப்பும் நம் இல்லினில் சேர்த்திடுவாள்
சிந்தாகுலம் தீர்த்தே நல்வாழ்வு தந்திடுவாள்

 

Adutha moondru naalinile, alar  mel mangai vanthiduvaal

Alai makaiaai Lakshmiyaai Amutha kalasam yenthiduvaal

Selvamum chirappum nam Illile serthiduvaal

Chithaa aakulam theerthe nal vaazhvu thanthiduvaal

 

For the next three days, lady  on opened flowerwill come

As a  the daughter of waves she will carry pot of nectar

She will add wealth and speciality to our home

Putting an end to worries she would give good life

 

 

சரணம் 3 (சரஸ்வதி)

Charanam 3 (Saraswathi)

இறுதி மூன்று நாளினிலே கலைவாணி வந்திடுவாள்
வெண்தாமரை பீடத்திலே வீணை ஏந்தி அமர்ந்திடுவாள்
கல்வியும் அறிவும் நல் கலைகளும் தந்திடுவாள்
கற்பனைத் திறனூட்டி கவிபாட வைத்திடுவாள்

 

Iruthi moondru naalinile Kalaivaani vanthiduvaal

Venthamarai peedathile veenai yenthi amarnthiduvaal

Kalviyum arivum, nal kalaikalum thanthiduvaal

Karpanai thiran ootti kavi paada vaithiduvaal

 

In the last three days, Goddess  Saraswathi would come

She would sit on seat of white lotus and hold the neena

She  she would give education, wisdom and give all fine arts

By  increasing power of imagination, she would make us sing poems
