In the  month of Margzhy(December-January), He used to  propagate learning of prayers,

For  popularising the commentary  of Vedas, he greated a trust called Rathnothsava

For puopularising  the   wall  writings  he created  the elevated  trust

For protections of cows and Brahmins, he created  the protections of Vedas and cow trust

Gosala , Pata salaa cha d gurubi sthathra nirmithe

Balikaanaam vivahartham , kanya  dhana nidhi kritha

 

There he established  cow  protection farm as well as  Vedic schools

For  the sake  of marriage of maids, he created the marriage of girl’s  trust

Bala  vridha aathuraanam  cha vyavastha paripalane

 

For helind priests who worship in temples, he created  the Kachimoodhu trust

He also made arrangements to look after the needy   children  and  old people

Ithi vakhya anusaranena vyavastha thathra  kalpitha

 

By doing  the  cremation of dead body of orphans,you get result  of doing Aswamedha yaga

Following this  saying, he made  arrangements to do that

Yathra sri BHagawath padhai , kshethra  paryatanam kritham.

THathra  theshaam sila  moorthim  Prathishtabhya  Shubham kritham

 

When the sage goes to pilgrimage on foot,

There he consecrated  God’s vigrahas and made them holy

ராஜதம் ச ரதம் க்ருத்வா காமாக்ஷ்யா: பரிவாஹணம்

 

Baaktha vanchidapi  sidhyartham nama thraka  lekanam

Rajatham cha  radham kruthwa Kamakshyaa Parivahanam

 

For getting desires of devotees fulfilled, he has to write name of “Rama”

Andhe created royal chariot and made  Goddess Kamakshi ride

Kamakshyamba  vimanaya swarna pathrai  samavrithi

Thathu uthsava  kamakshyaa swarna varma  parishkrithi

 

He arranged to coat  the vimana(tower over goddess) with golden leaves,

And in festival  of Kamakshi, he arranged it to be coated  with golden colour

ஸ்ரீதேவ்யா: பர்வகாலேஷு ஸுவர்ண ரத சாஸனம்

 

Lalitha  nama sahasre swarna  mala  virajathe

Sri devya parva kaaleshu swarna  Radha  sasanam

 

The golden garlamd with Lalalitha sahasranama shines  in her

And in the festival  season of of the godess she rides on golden chariot

சிதம்பர நடேசஸ்ய சுவைடூர்ய கிரீடகம்

கரே-அபயப்ரதே பாதே குஞ்சிதே ரத்னபூஷணம்

 

Chidambara  natesasya suvaidurya  kireedakam

Kare  abhaya  pradhe kunchithe rathna bhooshanam

 

He also got made  crown with good Vaidurya(cat’s eye) to Lord Nararaja  of Chidambaram

In  his hand showing protection and feet, the curved  gem decoration was got made

ருக்ணாலயே பகவத: ப்ரஸாத விநியோஜநம்

 

Mushti  thandula  dhaanena daridraanam BHojanam

Rugnaalaye bhagawatha prasada  viniyojanam

 

He arranged to provide meals to the pooby charity of one clasp of rice

He also arranged to distribute Prasada(offering to God, in hospital

There are two temples in Kerala, where "Thrikkarthigai" is celebrated with complete festivity; Kumaranallur (Kottayam) and Chottanikkara (Ernakulam). The most important fact to be noticed is that both these are temples for Goddess (Parvathi); Kumaranallur Karthigai is world famous and is the Yearly Festival there; thousands of people assemble on this day to witness the celebrations.

Legend: The temple was constructed for Lord Subrahmanya; but before the rituals started Goddess (Meenakshi of Madurai) occupied the temple; hence the name 'Kumaran - alla - Oor (place where Lord Subrahmanya is not the deity) (Sometime back I had written the same in detail). Maharaja Swathithirunal has composed "shrI kumAra nagarAlayE" in ragam Athana, on this temple.

Oh suzerain of Kumarangara (Kumaranallur), the repository of compassion, you reside in the lotus.
You are the wish-yielding tree to the devotees. You are the bee that intently seeks the nectar of the lotus face of Lord Padmanabha.

Meaning (C-1 & C-2

Your gem studded anklets jingle sweetly.  The tinkling of your bangles that adorn your wrist are melodious, your face shines like the moon.  Your tresses are adorned with the fresh petals of a lotus.  The beauty of your eyes darkened by collyrium excels that of Khanajana (a species of wagtail).  You reside in the hearts of those who have conquered passion.  Your forehead is adorned with musk paste.

Your neck is beautiful like the conch, oh the mother of the universe, protector of the world!  Your lips are red like the Bimba fruit.  Your dark and rich tresses are like the swarm of bees.  Eyes are lovely like the blue lotus,  you are adored by Shiva, Vishnu, and others. You bestow good fortune to those who worship you.

Your gait is more graceful than that of the elephant, destroyer of the enemies of the celestials, the origin of the world! Your teeth are like jasmine buds. Your feet are soft and delicate, your charming smile is wonderful that the crescent moon, the sweet nectar from them lights up your beautiful lotus face. You are worthy of being worshiped by all, pray protect me.

பரமபதம் இதுவென்று தூக்கி நின்றதுவோ?

சக்தி சிவகாமவல்லி தன்பாதம் நோகுமென்றே

தரையில் அடிவைக்க தயங்கி நின்றதுவோ?

சத்யலோக அதிபதி தாளத்திற்கேற்ப நடம்

தாங்கியே ஒரு காலைத் தூக்கி நின்றதுவோ?
