Oh Parashakthi m can you not protect me,
Why this indifference towards me

Purani  Dharma samvardhani  sri,
Puradheeswari   Raja sekhari

Oh Primeval one Oh Dharma Samvardhani ,
The goddess of Sripura, who wears  the  moon over her head.

Indra, Brahma , Devas and others request for boons,

Who is worshipped by other sages , Can’t you  protect me

Thu seva jesi  tridasadhi  padhu-
Lu   saswathulai   paravasalac  madi se,
Ya  santhamukga   joochu  sambhavi o,
2.Oh broad eyed one  when Indra anod others,
With great  joy serve you  and salute you,
With permanent devotion , you look at them ,
In a cool manner  with peace  and joy , oh great goddess
3.Niraparadhula  nirakarinche ,
Durathma kula nindhu raka  seya ,
Garadhu   vara Thyagaraja  nutha, Shubhadha
Rama sodhari   daradara   suthe.
3.Cant you prevent   the evil people , who hate,
The coming   of sages who have not done any mistake ,
Oh sister of  Rama , Oh daughter of the mountain king,
Oh mother    who is praised by  Thyagaraja,
