Rama , why this miserliness   in you,

Only in the matter   of protecting me

Somarkka lochana suguna,

Suthramaadhulella  navvara

Oh Lord with sun and moon   as  his eyes,

Who is of good character, would not,

Indra and other  devas see this and laugh at you.

1.Did you  not protect Kakasura,

AS well as Ravana’s brother  ,

Who surrendered to you,

And then sought  your protection.

Padhi vegame  Krishnayana,

Adhi prematho venchesina,

Mathi nedenthu poyeno

2.When she did not have  any other  go,

When DRaupadhi with great haste,

Summoned you as  “Oh Krishna”.

You arrived there   with great love,

And where did that heart of yours go?

Raghavanvayamu na,

Baga jaminchina ,

THyagarajanutha sree

3.Oh Sri Rama  born in the family,

Where for the sake of a hawk,

One of them gave his flesh,
