Rama Kadha sudha rasa panamoka ,

Rajyamu chesune

The drinking of the nectar  of the juice ,

Of the story  of Rama would rule  the country.

Bhamamani, Janaki, Soumithri,

Bhrathadhulatho bhoomi velayu sree

The story of Rama  along with the  gem of a lady Suta,

Lakshmana and Bharatha, when they were  in this earth

Dharmathyakhila paladhame manasaa,

Dairyanandha  soukhya nikethame ,

Karma bandha jwalanabdhi  naavame,

Kaliharame Thyagaraja vinuthudakku

It is capable of giving the four types of gifts like Dharma,

The place  where courage, joy  and safe life  lives,

The boat  which helps us to cross  the flaming ocean  of attachment to Karma,

And that which destroys ills of Kali to those who pray like  Thyagaraja.
