Illai piravi piniyum  pavamum

Cholla thagu midhuve , Shivalokam,
Yell athanaya  aram cheyyil amogham,

Charanam
1.AAgama veda  puranangal   chathiram,
Arum thavam   purivaarkku  aruliya  pathiram ,
Aalamayirathettinil  nethiram,
Aananda   thandavamadiya   chethiram.

2.Kanithil aadu manima vathiya  chithiyum,
Gaganathil   amarum   vinnadarkal vethiyum,
Inayillatha   guru chathira   bhakthiyum,
Igathil   thane  varum   shiva pada  muthiyum.

3.Parama ragasiyam  ondru parkkalaam,
Bala Krishnan kavi pada ketkalaam,
Karuma vinaigal  adangalum pokkalaam,
Kasadarkku  mukthiyum mundakkalaam

English translation

Pallavi
If you start telling the name “Chidambaram temple”,
There is no disease of re births  and sins

Anupallavi
 Even if we do good things of the size of seasmum,
It  would lead to great things  and ,
It is proper to tell that it is the land of Shiva.

Charanam
1.The Vedas, the Puranas   and the shastras,
Are only  available to those who do great  penance,
And this temple where  Shiva   danced   with joy,
Is like an eye among the  thousand eight temples.


2.Within no time you get  occult powers like  Anima,
Be victorious  against devas who sit  on the sky  ,
Incomparable   devotion to Guru and Sastras ,
And in the end we would  automatically  get salvation  at feet of Shiva.

3.You can see  a very great secret ,
You can hear the poem of Balakrishnan,
You can completely lose the Karma of previous births,
And also  grant salvation to very bad people.
