THillai Chidambaram endre neengal,
Oru tharam chonnal paragathi yundu yundu

Anupallavi
Nalla sruthi  mudi kandu-sabhaa,
Nathan thiruthalai chinthanayil kondu

Charanam
1.Verillamal or vruksham ondru irukku,
Vilayum vinaikal yellam cheyyunthirukku,
Perillamal jnanthee  kondu karukku,
Perinma vanarai pisakamal  nerukku

2.DEsam pugazhum thillai kovilai valaithu ,
THithikkum Shiva panchaksharam purinthu ,
Asayudane  ardha jamathil irunthu,
Angam pulakithamai adikkadiye paninthu

3.Mayan gopalakrishnan dinamum thedi  ,
Vandhu chenthamarai malaradiyai naadi,
THayai  pirintha ilam kandru pol koodi,
Thalam  pottu konadadi.

English translation

Pallavi
If you once  tell  “Thillai Chidambaram”
You   will  get salvation

Anupallavi
After  finding out a good tune ,
Keep in your mind  the divine feet  of Lord of the hall.

Charanam
1.There   is a  tree   without roots,
The Karmas that  have been done have joined together,
Burn them all  with the fire of wisdom which does not have a name,,
And approach  the God of divine  joy closer

2.Surroundin the temple of Chidambaam praised by the country,
Make   the very   sweet  five letter  name,
With desire go to the mid night worship,
And by saluting again and again with the body ful of great joy.

3.The illusory Gopalakrishna   after  daily search,
Came  and approached   the red lotus like feet,
And merged with it like a calf separated from its mother,
And celebrate it with the   clapping of hands.
