சின்னஞ்சிறு பெண்போலே சிற்றாடை இடை உடுத்தி
சீவகங்கை குளத்தருகே ஸ்ரீதுர்க்கை சிரித்திருப்பாள் 

பெண்ணவளின் கண்ணழகை பேசி முடியாது 

பேரழகுக்கீடாக வேறொன்றும் கிடையாது ||

 

Chinnam chiru pen poale  chithaadai  idai  uduthu,

Cheeva  gangai kulatharuge sri  Durugai chirithiruppal

Pennavalin   kannazhakai  pesi  mudiyaathu

Perazhagu keedaana verondrum   kidayaathu

 

Just like  very small  girl  , wearing small  dress on her hips

Near  the pond of Shiva ganga , Sri  Durga  would sit laughing

It is  impossible   to talk about the maid’s beauty  of the eye

There is  nothing which can  be compared to her  great beauty.

 

மின்னலைப்போல் மேனி அன்னை சிவாகாமி 

இன்பமெல்லாம் தருவாள் எண்ணமேல்லாம் நிறைவாள் 

பின்னல் சடை போட்டு பிச்சிப்பூ சூடிடுவாள் 

பித்தனுக்கு இணையாக நர்த்தனம் ஆடிடுவாள் ||

Inbamellam  tharuvaal , yennamellam  niraivaa;

Pinnal   chadai pottu pichi poo  choodiduvaal

Pithanukku  inayaaka  narthanam   aadiduvaal

 

Mother  shiva kami’s   body  is  like  lightning

She will give all joy, she will fill up  all our thoughts

She would  weave  her  hair braid and decorate it woth pichi flower

She will dance   together   with lord
