Ragam  Raga Malika
Thalam Aadhi

1.Raga:Kaapi
Vanna vanna malar thanile   vandinam   moikkuthadi,
Kannai mayukkathadi   , Kathalai  tthoonduthadi

In the   multi coloured flowers   bees hover  as a crowd ,
Making  it attractive to the eye and it increases  sensation of love.

2.Raga:Lathangi
Thendralum veesuthadi, themmangu paduthadi ,
Then unda   vandukalum  reenkaaram   seyyuthadi

The breeze from south blows   and sings   rustic   folk songs,
And the bees   which have drunk the honey  is making sound “Reem”

3.Raga:Deva  manohari
Anthi vaanam   sivanthathadi  , Alliyum malarnthathadi  ,
Azhagaana  mayil inamum   aadi kalipoottuthadi

The  sky of the  dusk has turned red  , The lily flowers have  opened,
And the pretty peacocks dance   and increase our joy.

4.Raga:Manolayam
Sonnapadi vanthiduven  endru sonna kandhanum,
Innum varavillayadi, enna kurai seithenadi.

The Skanda who has told  that  he would come as promised,
Still  has not come  , What wants of his I have not fulfilled.

5.Raga:Maand
Poom kuyil koovuthadi , punniyan varuvaan endru,
Pooritha yen ullam  Pongi magizhnthathadi.

The Koel of the flower is singing  and my over joyed mind,
Thinking that  blessed one would come  is ebbing with joy.

6.Raga:Surutti
Kanavai ninaivakka kandanum vandharadi  ,
Kanni yennai anaithu   kaniyamudham thantharadi

To make my dream in to realty that  Skanda   has come,
And he embraced  this maid and gave me nectar  in my lips.
