Omkara karini  , madahankara  varini  , avathu maam

Oh Goddess   who says  “Om”,   who pacifies my pride  , protect me.

Anupallavi
Humkara mathra shatru damani   hrunkara  Roopini ,. Rudraani

Anupallavi
Oh Goddess  who   destroys enemies by   chanting “Hum”,
Who has the   form of  Hroom   and who is consort of RudrA

Charanam
Murali   sudhaa  lahari vihari,
Pura ripu premitha tripura sundari,
Karuna rasa bharitha lalitha lavangi  ,
Vardhaa, abhayadhaa   sakala Shubangi


Charanam
Oh Goddess who    strolls in the waves  of  nectar like  sound of flute,
Who is the Tripura Sundaru   who is loved by enemy of Tripura,
Who has pretty limbs   which is filled with    the sense of mercy  ,
Who blesses  , who grants protection and who is always   auspicious.

  2. this is raga lavangi, not latangi.

    lavangi is an unconvetional scale - with only 4 swaras, against the minimum of 5 that tradition insists, with a symmetric srmd.

    But then what is tradition? As people sometimes say, we have a new tradition around here, lol

    latangi is a full scale raga, 63rd in the mela scheme - i think of it as a Kalyani with D1, from a scale perspective. Arohanam: S R2 G3 M2 P D1 N3 S, Avarohanam: S N3 D1 P M2 G3 R2 S
