Yendru nee varuvai yezhilai  amara

Pon manakkum podigai   vaazh devi

Kan malar  malarnthu yennaye parppai

 

I  kept open the  temple of mind

When will you come prettily  to sit there

Oh goddess  who lives  in Podigai where the  golden flower  spreads its perfume

Please open your   flower  like   eyes and see  me

1.SAngisai  olithathu, Sankaran kovilil

Angu  naan vanthen ammayai  kaana

POngidum   yezhili nee ponathu yenge?

Unnaye   thedi alaikiren amma

 

In  Sankaran kovil, the song of conch boomed

I came   to see   the mother

Where has    the ebbing   beauty  gone

Oh mother  I am wandering searching only you

 

2.Pothikayin  uchiyil  un kural  koduthai

Pularnthathu – pulanthathu yendru naan vandhen

Ularntha yen nenjam  unthanai   thedi

Kalanthathu undhan   thiruvadi naadi

 

You   gave sound from top of Podhigai  mountain,

I came saying  , it has become morning, become morning

My dried  mind , searching you,

Searching your divine  feet  ,got mixed
