Parama pavana mamava parvatharaja  Puthrike
My  divinely pure,
daughter of king of mountains
Anupallavi
Suravara kinnara sannuthe,sobhana guna jathe,lalithe
Karadhrutha  
pasankusa sumavishikeshu chape
Kanchipura   vasini
sri  Kamakshi
She whpo  is
prayed  by great devas called Kinnara,
she who was born in shining family, Lalitha
She who carries rope and goad in her hand, good  rainbow  
which can be seen,
Kamakshi who lives in Kanchipura
Charana vinatha suma  
ganapathi, sumanojne,
Kara sarasija dritha mani veene, Chandra vadhane
Parameshwara sevaka jana 
rakshake,
Sadhaa pranatha phaladhe, sada pranatha phala dayike
Bandhana khandana banda 
mahishamukha,
Chanda daithya mandale ripudande
She whose feet is saluted by  Ganapathi, she who is known by good minds
She who  holds  the gem studded veena  in her lotus hands, she who has a moon like
face
She who rotects those people who serve  Lord Parameshwara
She who always gives 
result to prayers, she who grants what 
is prayed for always
She who tied  and
cut off  the bad Mahisha face
She who punished 
asuras  like   Chanda
