English Translation

Pallavi

If I call you loudly "Muruga, Muruga",
Will you not be merciful and shower your grace?

Anupallavi

We can drink your sweet merciful name,
So that the disease of birth and death does not come near me.

Charanam

Oh Lord Muruga who lives on the mountain,
Oh Lord who rides on a peacock and is the consort of Valli,
Oh merciful one who does not have a stone like heart,
Oh God of Bharai who ruled holding a Vel.
