Thyagopanishad of Sri.T.S.Balakrishna Sastrigal

Thyagopanishad
(The Upanishds of Saint Thyagaraja)

By
Sri.T.S,Balakrishna sastrigal

Translated and condensed  by
P.R.Ramachander

(Sri  T.S.Balakrishna Sastrigal  (1919-2003)  belonged to Thiruvidaimarudhur   and was an eminent  Hindu Scholar and  Harikarga  exponent. In this great book , he   has taken 57 Krithis of Saint Thyaga Brahmam   and  explained the meaning as well   as deeper significance)

These are a collection of Essays(57 in number)  by  Sri  T.S.Balakrishna Sastri   under the heading  THyagopanishad  in a journal called  Vaideeka Samvardhini. Each essay takes one Krithi of Saint Thyagaraja   and gives the meaning as well   as  a commentary on it. Unlike that learned author, I have only given   those comments in a nutshell. He further says that these great outpourings of devotion from Saint Thyagaraja are   really the  meaning  of The Upanishads and that is why it has been been called    as Thyagopanishad.
