Chara metike  oh manasa

When this is the essence , what is the need ,

To consider  other paths,

Anupallavi

Vaaru Veeru  deliyaleka balku,

Varthalu  vinanele Rama Namamu

Why should we hear   the talk of that and this ,

Men  without knowing   and the name of Rama

Charanam

1.Mara koti  lavayudaina  Ragvhu-,

Veeruni  Nama Sudha  rasamunu,

Sareku Banamu   jesi  ,jagad-

Viharudai   velayu  Narayana  ,

Narayanvvvvva  yanusvunu  varamu,

Charadhambudha  nibudow sri,

Naradamuni  Valmeeka  jathinki,

Goorimi nupadesincha   ledhaa

1.Did not sage Narada who goes round and round the world,

Chanting “Narayana, Barayana”  and who  had the luster,

Of  the cloud of the autumn   teach sage Valmiki,

Who  came out    from  the ant hill , teach  with love ,

The nectar of the name of Ragu Rama who was  ,

One crore times  more beautiful than   the God of love.

2.Parama pavanuni n Saranagatha  jana,

Paripalana  birudhanguni sita,

Varuni  nama Sudha rasa panama ,

Nirathamunanu jesi Hari Hari,

Hariyanusu santhathambunu,

Sariyuleni kethihganchi dehamu,

Paravasabu jendhi  Sukha Brahma,

Pareekshithu  kosaga  ledha vaadhaa.

2.Did not sage Shuka Brahmam in greatr excitement,

Who without stop went on drinking  the name ,

“Hari, Hari, Hari” , which was the name of Rama,

Who is pure  , one who protects those who surrender to him,

And is the consort of Sita, Taught  the king Paraikshith.

3.Sama Gana loludow   rajatha giri,

Dhamdaina   Thyagaraja   shivudu , athi,

Nemamoutho  Namamrutha panama  ,Yemaraganu  jesi Rama Rama,

Rama yanuchu  sathathamu,

Sri Madhathi gowriki   srungariki  ,

Yama himala  narahasyamula  nathi,

Premanu  nupadesincha   ledhaa.

3.Did not Lord Thyagaraja who is Shiva  ,

Who is drowned in the music of Sama Veda,

Who lives on the silver mountain of Kailasa,

Who with great ritual   and attention,

Drank  the essence of   the nectar of your name,

“Rama, Rama”  always  and did he  not teach

Gowri  who is most pretty  about ,

Its greatness  as well as secret.
