Oh peaceful goddess Durga , who has a black body,
Who takes care of good people and rides on a lion

Oh Goddess who shines like light , who cuts of avarice of people,
Who makes mercy her own and is ever auspicious

Oh Goddess who lives in a pure , peaceful temple,
Oh mother who removes the sins from our actions,
Who practices Dharma , Who has eyes of a lass,
Who increases love and who gives us victory.
