Kumarane, guru parane , vadivelane,
Amarar paniyum arul nirai chelvane

Imayaval maindane , umayaval pudalvane,
Samayam arindu yen chanjalam theerayo.

Charanam

Amaithiyodum thannai anu dinamum thudithida,
Sumanthitta pavangal choozh nilai agandrida,
Kama krodhamathil kalangi thavithidum,
Pamarar thannaye Kathu arul cheyguvay.

English translation

Pallavi
Young lad, divine teacher, holder of Vel,
The great little boy saluted by the devas.

Anupallavi
Son of the daughter of Himalayas , son of Goddess Uma,
Won’t you cure my listlessness at the proper time

Charanam
Please protect and shower your grace on the ordinary man,
Who are completely lost in passion and anger which drown them.
When they with calm and peace pray you daily so that,
The sins surrounding them are completely driven away,
