Unakku inai yethu chol Kumara.

Madhura isai oli manpuru cholayil,
Manikka gangai marungil olirndhida,

Arungala mayil misai aarnthu Andam,
Adhira aadidum arpudha Muruga,
Arunagiri pugazh arpudha balaa,

Oh Kandha who dances on the hill in Kadhirkamam,
Please tell me lad, who is comparable to you.

The sweet sound of music shining ,
In the great garden by the side of the ruby like Ganga

Oh Wonderful Muruga who riding on a peacock,
Danced making the earth reverberate,
Oh Young child who was praised by Arunagiri natha,
