Ambikai suthane, nambinen unnaye.

THamizhal unnai dinamum thudithen,

Urugum shuddhanandan ulla kovil vasa.

English translation

Pallavi

Oh Ganapathi, the treasure of mercy,
Give me the boon of eternal wisdom,
Which ebbs with the taste of music.

Anupallavi

I believed in you completely Oh Son,
Of Goddess Parvathi who is the pure power,
And who is the full of divine bliss and consort of Shiva.

Charanam

I prayed to you daily in Tamil,
Which is as sweet as fruit, sugar syrup and honey,
Oh Vinayaka, Oh Vignaraja,
Oh God who is in the melting mind,
Of your devotee Shudhananda.
