English Translation

Pallavi

Goddess Shankari who is the moon faced one of Lord Shiva,
Who is the goddess of all the worlds,
Who is the sweet heart of God Shambhu,
And who is the white coloured Goddess worshipped by Brahma.

Anupallavi

The mother of all the worlds , who destroys sorrows
Who expels enemies , who blesses with good things,
Who always gives us happy results,
And who is the consort of Shiva

Charanam

Sister of the black Krishna , Goddess who is black,
Goddess with thin waist who is interested in singing of Sama Veda,
Baala the lass and Goddess who has made it a habit,
Of destroying the sufferings of her devotees,

  2. The translations are very useful, Sir. Although we are literate in sanskrit., we still need to know word to word meaning in order to bring bhava to the song. (kriti or devaranamaetc) Your efforts are appreciated.
